Deep Dive: Here’s One for the Osage
Just before Christmas, the Osage Nation won its decade plus legal battle against the Italian wind energy giant Enel. The Osage had long claimed that Enel had built its 150 MW wind project on the tribe’s land without acquiring the necessary leases. On December 21 of last year, the court agreed. Enel will now have to spend $300 million dismantling its 84 wind turbines in Osage County.
