PJM is the largest power market in America, serving thirteen mid-Atlantic states, plus Washington, DC. And nothing in its interconnection queue is going to be built on time — a big problem. A recent report from within PJM warns that new generation in its footprint won’t come online fast enough to replace retiring generation.
A new report on the grid operator’s queue from the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) might shed light on what’s going wrong in PJM.
