Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) has become the major topic of international energy politics since Russia rolled into Ukraine in 2022. Since then, America has become the most dominant supplier of LNG in the world, replacing Russia’s pipeline exports to the continent.

However, Biden’s recent pause on LNG export terminals, Europe’s anxiety about its new major energy source, and Russia’s resilience in the face of misguided western sanctions suggests that the new paradigm is hardly peace and harmony.
